We want to hear about your successful, green business practices. By sharing success stories across business sectors, we can accelerate change in business practices toward more environmentally and economically sustainable models.

3.1 Guidelines

Submissions must include a case study of a current green business practice that demonstrates the direct or indirect return-on-investment (ROI) of sustainable business practices in one of the following categories:

  • Energy
  • Waste & Material Management
  • Green Products & Solutions
  • Green Employee Engagement

Case studies should include the following information:

Challenge

  • What was the primary driving force behind the initiative?
  • What are the key issues?
  • Who are the main stakeholders?

Strategy

  • What is the main objective? (Include qualitative and quantitative targets set)
  • What actions were taken?
  • When did these actions take place and who was involved?
  • Were any partnerships or alliances formed?
  • What were the main challenges/difficulties faced?
  • What actions were taken to address challenges?

Results

  • What are the main results (positive and/or negative) of this initiative? (Provide quantifiable information where available)
  • Provide a brief summary of the business case behind your organization’s actions.
  • What were the lessons learned from this initiative?
  • Did this initiative drive innovation that would not have happened otherwise?

Case studies can be supplemented with any of the following supporting materials:

  • Links to white papers, market research
  • Graphics
  • Embedded videos or slideshows

Please submit your case study in English and French.

All submissions will be treated as public documents. Submissions may be published in full online, including information about the author or third parties contained in the submission. Case studies may be edited for clarity, brevity and style. Case studies that do not answer the above criteria may not be published on ShareGreen.
