BENTONVILLE, Ark., April 9, 2013 – In front of an audience of associates, suppliers and nonprofit organizations at its Global Sustainability Milestone Meeting, Walmart today highlighted its progress with the Sustainability Index, a measurement system used to track the environmental impact of products. Academy will provide training on fire safety, environment, health and workplace safety to factory workers in Bangladesh

BENTONVILLE, Ark., April, 9, 2013 – As part of their ongoing commitment to improving fire safety standards in Bangladesh, today Walmart announced a $1.6 million donation to the Institute of Sustainable Communities (ISC), a U.S. based NGO, to establish the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Academy in Bangladesh.
